Celebrating the Year of the Horse in Advance: Longines Hong Kong International Horse Show Concluded Successfully
The Longines Hong Kong International Horse Show returned to great acclaim in 2026, running over three consecutive days from 30 January to 1 February at AsiaWorld-Expo (AWE). The event served as a grand celebration to welcome the auspicious Year of the Horse. Visitors from Hong Kong, the Chinese Mainland, and overseas attended, underscoring Hong Kong’s appeal as a city of mega events and AWE’s world-class hosting capabilities.

One of the highlight competitions, “The AsiaWorld-Expo Speed Stakes – 5* International Showjumping Competition,” served as the finale on 1 February, bringing together the world’s top equestrian elites to compete for glory and sending the atmosphere to a fever pitch.

In addition to world-class show jumping, this year’s event introduced, for the first time, the fun and interactive “Airport Authority Hong Kong presents: Hong Kong Dog Agility Competition,” and presented a variety of exciting programs, including the Shetland Pony Grand National, the Hong Kong Jockey Club Asian Youth Challenge, musical riding performances, and a lifestyle shopping village featuring more than 50 brands. Within the lifestyle village, AWE created a Lunar New Year interactive zone featuring a flower-theme art installation and festive photo spots. Visitors drew fortune sticks, made wishes, collected playful ornaments, and redeemed limited-edition Year of the Horse Fai Chun from a collaboration between local artist and the AWE Bear, bringing home blessings and good luck.

Family-friendly programming made equestrian sport more accessible and fun, offering a dazzling experience for audiences of all ages.

Hong Kong International Airport Automated “Park & Fly” Innovative Greater Bay Area Intermodal Service
Hong Kong International Airport (HKIA) has introduced a brand-new automated transfer service “Park & Fly”, making travel more convenient for the Greater Bay Area (GBA) passengers who prefer to drive to Hong Kong. Passengers can travel in their own cars on the Hong Kong–Zhuhai–Macao Bridge (HZMB) to the “Park & Fly” Car Park, leave their car, and then fly overseas from HKIA. This is the latest intermodal transfer service connecting the airport with other cities in the GBA.

Equipped with an automated parking system, the “Park & Fly” Car Park is located within the restricted area of the Hong Kong Port of the HZMB, adjacent to HKIA. In its initial phase, the five-storey car park offers 1,800 parking spaces, expanding to 3,000 spaces upon full development. Non-commercial private car owners with vehicles' primary registration in Guangdong and Macao are required to reserve a parking space before proceeding to Hong Kong, on a first-come, first-served basis through the one-stop online booking platform provided by Airport Authority Hong Kong. Applicants can simply follow the instructions, submit the required documents, and pay the relevant fees. Once the information is verified by the Chinese Mainland or Macao authorities, the booking will be confirmed.

Upon arrival at the car park, passengers only need to leave their car in the designated area, and the system will automatically store it in the Car Park. There is no need to search for a parking space. Passengers then board a shuttle bus to the SkyPier Terminal within the airport’s restricted area, complete check-in and baggage drop, and proceed to the boarding gate, without going through Hong Kong immigration procedures. For the return journey, arriving passengers can confirm their booking at the transfer counter in the restricted area in Terminal 1, then take a shuttle bus from the SkyPier Terminal to the “Park & Fly” Car Park and retrieve their car via the automated system. In addition to parking and transfer services, passengers can also book drop-off or pick-up services.
