AsiaWorld-Expo has garnered two more valuable accolades with a 'Caring Company' accreditation and an 'Indoor Air Quality' certificate. The Caring Company Scheme awards its coveted logo to businesses that demonstrate good citizenship. Commenting on AWE's training and work-trial programmes with various Non-Profit Organisations, AsiaWorld-Expo's Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Allen Ha, said, "These initiatives benefit not only the people we help, but also develop significant team work skills for our AsiaWorld-Expo staff." The Indoor Air Quality Certification was awarded after stringent government testing. "We wanted to be a leading participant in this voluntary scheme which gives our staff and clients complete peace of mind that our venue offers exceptional air quality," said Mr. Ha. |

Nu Skin Greater China & South East Asia Regional Convention
Following on from the success of its 2006 regional convention, the cosmetics giant Nu Skin will again host its corporate event at AsiaWorld-Expo. The event, which brings together the key members from around the region, will be held from 14 to 16 May and will take over the entire venue. AsiaWorld-Expo was considered the ideal venue as it offers maximum space and flexibility for Nu Skin's packed calendar of large-scale seminars, smaller workshops and prestigious networking events, as well as the convenience of an airport location surrounded by prominent tourist attractions. |

3rd Asia International Arts & Antiques Fair (AIAA) Asia's largest arts and antiques exhibition will be held from 23 to 26 May. More than 150 exhibitors from around the world will be showcased across 10,000 square metres of exhibition space. This year, art professionals, enthusiasts and buyers can enjoy a series of unique exhibits, including Chen Yi-fei's celebrated 'The Flutist', which will be on display in Hong Kong for the first time. Hong Kong will also be the final stop in the international tour of Chinese Ceramic Art, which showcases a broad range of ceramic work by contemporary artists.Finally, two arts prizes will be awarded during the event. The ARTFRUIT CUP recognises creativity and excellence among contemporary artists, while a one-off 'Arts Fancy-Free' competition is celebrating the 2008 Beijing Olympics. The popular China Sourcing Fairs continued to impress exhibitors and buyers alike with their variety of products, the quality of the venue and the value-adding venue services. Held from 12 to 15 April and again from 20 to 23 April, the fairs brought together the widest range of regional suppliers and international buying groups. Mainland Chinese exhibitors came to the Electronics & Components event in even stronger numbers – up an impressive 33 percent on April 2007 – making it the largest-ever spring show. The Underwear & Swimwear event also saw a steep rise in booth numbers, up 25 percent on the previous spring fair. The next set of these bi-annual fairs will be held from 12-15 and 20-23 October 2008.
