AsiaWorld-Expo is delighted to welcome Allen Ha as its new Chief Executive Officer. Mr Ha replaces Nicolas Borit who has been promoted to Managing Director of Dragages Hong Kong, one of AsiaWorld-Expo Management Ltd's major shareholders.

Mr Ha, who has been closely involved with AsiaWorld-Expo since the project tender stage in Sep 2003, brings with him extensive experience in venue management and operations and is the ideal candidate for the position.

AWE breaks more records in July

AsiaWorld-Expo played host in July to Hong Kong's largest-ever indoor banquet. The record-breaking feat was part of a massive 9,000-strong corporate event for Sunrider International. Four halls were combined to create a massive column-free space of over 22,000 sqm for the 750 dining tables, each seating 12 guests.

As well as the dinner, AsiaWorld-Arena, with its state-of-the-art acoustics and technology set-up, provided the ideal venue for a theatre-style convention for the Sunrider International delegates.

2nd Hong Kong International Pet & Aqua Accessory Expo


2nd Hong Kong International Pet & Aqua Accessory Expo Now in its second year, the popular Hong Kong International Pet & Aqua Accessory Expo welcomed over 60,000 visitors from the public, many with their pets for company!

The huge attendance over the three-day event in July represented a 20 percent increase on the previous year. Particularly popular were the pets' cat-walk show, free photo for pets and owners, cat and dog games booth and even a pet talent competition.


The light-hearted activities enhanced the serious business of the Expo, with exhibitors reporting sales receipts of over HK$10 million, as well as pet products being completely sold-out during the three-day event.

Asia's Fashion Jewellery & Accessories Fair


Adding to the sparkle at AsiaWorld-Expo this summer, buyers from 92 countries and regions visited ‘Asia's Fashion Jewellery & Accessories Fair'.

A truly international event, more than 70 percent of buyers came from outside Hong Kong, attracted by over 540 exhibitors from 26 countries displaying the latest fashion trends in jewellery and accessories.

Christina Aguilera kicks off AsiaWorld-Arena's Summer Season of Music


AsiaWorld-Arena has quickly established itself as Hong Kong's leading entertainment venue among international acts and local audiences.
AsiaWorld-Arena has quickly established itself as Hong Kong's leading entertainment venue among international acts and local audiences.
AsiaWorld-Arena, Hong Kong's largest indoor entertainment venue, began its summer season of the hottest live entertainment with Christina Aguilera's ‘Back to Basics' concert.

The musical extravaganza, with its tongue in cheek ‘blond diva-meets-circus' atmosphere wowed the packed audience with a full cast of trapeze artists, fire jugglers and stilt walkers.

Continuing a trend for hugely popular groups from the 80s and 90s to tour again, The Cure played at the AsiaWorld-Arena at the end of July attracting an audience that spanned generations. The popular British band mixed hits from the 80s and 90s with their more recent music.

The heat looks set to continue with more live performances including Gwen Stefani's ‘The Sweet Escape Tour' on 16 Aug, Avril Lavigne's Live in Hong Kong 2007 tour on 18 Aug and Nine Inch Nails Live 2007 on 13 Sep.

Fight fans enjoy the K-1 World GP 2007

Asian Aerospace International Expo and Congress The Who's Who of the aviation world will be landing in Hong Kong in September for the world's largest civil aerospace show.

The mega-event from 3-6 September combines four major business events under one roof: the Asian Aerospace International Expo and Congress; the Aircraft Interiors Expo Asia 2007; the Air Freight Asia 2007; and the Asia Pacific Airline Training Symposium.

The show, held in Singapore for the past 25 years, has moved to Hong Kong to take advantage of the facilities offered at AsiaWorld-Expo, as well as the venue's proximity to the award-winning Hong Kong International Airport.

Most importantly the event organisers, Reed Exhibition, recognised the importance of the China market to the aviation sector, and Hong Kong's role in facilitating business between international exhibitors and potential buyers across the region.

More than 500 exhibitors will descend on Hong Kong from 20 countries, including leading companies such as Airbus, Airbus KID-Systeme GmbH, Aviointeriors, Boeing, Bombardier, CAE, Dassault Falcon, Diamond, SpA, Driessen Aircraft Interiors, Frasca, Goodrich, Jet Aviation, Lantal Textiles, Pilatus, Premium Aircraft Interiors Group, Recaro, Thales and Weber Aircraft.
