The 92nd UFI Global Congress will be held in Hong Kong from 19–22 November 2025 at AsiaWorld-Expo (AWE), coinciding with UFI’s centenary and AWE’s 20th anniversary. As the exhibition industry’s most important annual gathering, the event marks UFI’s milestone return to Asia and reinforces Hong Kong's role as a gateway to the international exhibition market.
AWE will highlight its dual strengths as a world-class MICE venue and cultural hub, delivering a uniquely Hong Kong edition of the Congress. A signature feature is the Host Country Session, “Gateway to Growth: Unleashing Opportunities in the Greater Bay Area,” where industry leaders will explore innovation, collaboration, and the region’s vast potential.
Delegates will also enjoy dynamic cultural programs at AWE’s “Cultural Corner,” immersing in Hong Kong's culinary delights, artisanal crafts, and rich culture. Highlights include dim sum demonstrations by master chefs, daily artistic engagements, and exclusive keepsakes such as a limited-edition AWE's Octopus card.
Special experiences extend beyond the venue. While the gala dinner will be held at the M+ Museum, featuring cross-genre performances and a tribute to Bruce Lee, AWE will also curate a tram party tour blending history and nightlife. Together with themed tours sponsored by the Hong Kong Tourism Board, the Congress will showcase Hong Kong’s diversity to international delegates. AWE will combine professional networking with cultural exploration, providing global industry leaders with a unique firsthand experience of Hong Kong’s charm.

Setting a New Benchmark with LEED Gold Certification
In June 2025, AWE was awarded Gold certification in LEED O+M. LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) is a globally recognized green building rating system. Buildings earning the certification meet comprehensive leadership standards across various metrics, including energy and water efficiency, indoor environmental quality, and other factors that promote health and well-being for both people and ecosystems.
To celebrate its 20th anniversary, approximately HKD 1 billion was invested in a comprehensive renovation, including the integration of innovative technologies, enhancement of the visitor experience, and improvements in resource efficiency. The facilities feature advanced systems such as water-cooled chillers, a thermal storage plant, LED lighting, etc. By combining energy-saving systems, smart technologies, and comprehensive environmental management, AWE demonstrates how event venues can maintain operational efficiency while promoting ecological responsibility. |

Vibrant Creative Spirit |

Hong Kong International Airport (HKIA) Arts and Culture Festival 2025 officially kicked off on 25 July. Airport Authority Hong Kong (AAHK) in partnership with local arts organisations present a series of art exhibitions at the terminal until 8 November.
In collaboration with Attacca Projects, Hong Chi Association, Hong Kong Arts Centre, Hong Kong Reminiscence & Maison V, Ink and the City, M+ and MobArt Gallery, the Festival showcases a diverse range of art forms.
In the centre of the Arrivals Hall, the rich tradition of applied Chinese calligraphy in Hong Kong is showcased through display of a wide array of exhibits including graphics of neon lights, signboards, movie posters, advertisements, name cards, as well as visual experience enabled by technologies. Visitors may also make postcards as souvenirs by using specially designed calligraphy stamps.
The airport’s giant screen at the Arrivals Hall features digital artwork created by different artists, including an animation that celebrates the joy of travelling and Hong Kong’s vibrancy, as well as paintings by intellectually disabled artists from Hong Chi Association that had been displayed in Art Basel Hong Kong.
In the Departures Hall, a section of public seating is transformed into an engaging art installation that not only continues to provide seats but also invites visitors to immerse in the setting inspired by the “Aeroplane Chess” that has been popular across different generations of Hong Kong residents.
To celebrate the 100 years of civil aviation development in Hong Kong, the Festival presents a photo exhibition that traces the airport’s development from the Kai Tak era to Chek Lap Kok, with scene transitions designed to evoke the iconic split-flap flight information displays at Kai Tak. |
