Named after the city’s area code, 852FES is intended to celebrate Hong Kong’s unique identity by bringing together its most inspiring people, brands and culture. Taking advantage of AWE’s expansive and user-friendly layout, the event will feature an exposition and concert side by side to offer an action-packed weekend like no other. The Awaken Festival is a bazaar showcasing Hong Kong’s trendiest pop culture merchandise—an excellent opportunity for shoppers to support home-grown brands! Event highlights include local music, retro culture, creative art exhibits, lifestyle products, nostalgic chic entertaining facilities and the chance to join craft-based workshops. This magical experience will be further elevated by a programme of live music performances starring some of Hong Kong’s hottest independent artists and buskers. Following its successful debut last year with a footfall of more than 50,000 visitors and over HK$60 million of sales transactions, the Hong Kong Brands & Products Shopping Festival is returning this year on an even larger scale featuring about 350 booths in four thematic zones, namely Leisure Food Zone, Health Preserving Food Zone, Living & Household Products Zone, and Fashion & Beauty Products Zone. Under the same roof as this mammoth exhibition, the Festival will feature an exciting line-up of special stage programmes, lucky draws and game booths all arranged to entertain and delight visitors. As in last year’s edition, dedicated complimentary shuttle buses to AWE will be arranged for residents in Tsuen Wan, Tuen Mun, Yuen Long, and Tin Shui Wai, in addition to the point-to-point buses to Tung Chung MTR station, offering even more convenience to visitors across the Northwest New Territories.

Airport Authority Hong Kong (AAHK) became the sole owner of AsiaWorld-Expo (AWE) on 31 March 2022 following the Government’s transfer of all its interests at AWE. Prior to the transfer, AWE was jointly owned by AAHK and the Government. In 2018, AAHK acquired ownership of the company that manages and operates AWE. AAHK will continue managing AWE’s Phase 2 development which will feature Hong Kong’s largest indoor multipurpose performance arena with over 20,000-seat and state-of-the-art facilities upon completion. The expansion will also increase AWE’s total exhibition space to 100,000 square metres to meet the demand for large-scale events.
