Dynamic business growth
AsiaWorld-Expo is pleased to report that 2013 marked another record-breaking year, the total metreage sold was over 23,000,000 square feet, and making it the fourth consecutive year that the venue has achieved double-digit growth per annum in space sold. Equally encouraging is the impressive surge in utilisation throughout the years, with the estimated number of full-house event days in 2014 expected to reach a new high of 52 days. This is close to a 2-fold jump when compared to utilisation in 2013, and underlines the venue’s vibrant business growth. This outstanding performance is solid proof of AsiaWorld-Expo’s commitment to continuous advancement, and the fast-growing recognition it now enjoys both regionally and around the world.
The Financial Secretary, Mr John C Tsang visited AsiaWorld-Expo on 23 April 2014 and shared his views on the development of AsiaWorld-Expo through FS’s official blog – “My Blog”. Mr. Tsang has credited AsiaWorld-Expo for achieving the milestones in the space of just eight years, as well as the venue’s adaptability and business diversification. In addition to the remarkable credentials developed from playing host to international trade exhibitions
and large-scale conferences, Mr. Tsang concurred with AsiaWorld-Expo’s effort in bringing different genres of high-profile cultural, sporting and entertainment events to Hong Kong, including international and K-pop concerts, circus shows, and 5-star equestrian event. During the tour, Mr. Tsang was also impressed by the catering service quality of AsiaWorld-Expo, particularly the flexibility in operation design and detail-minded execution in serving gala dinners with up to 360 tables, ensuring every customer is pampered with delicacy at greatest satisfaction.
Mr. Tsang remarked that AsiaWorld-Expo’s development throughout the years is one of the examples supporting his two viewpoints: 1) Traditional industries in Hong Kong are still enjoying enormous room for dynamic growth, the key is innovation on business development and services, 2) The success of a new company attributes to its flexibility in exploring new opportunities and continuous effort in cultivating customers base through creating excellent customer journey..
